What is Mindfulness?

A mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness single pointedly on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

Team Executive Mindfulness & Meditation Coaching

Mindfulness meditation when learned as a team can quickly and easefuly create a more successful team on all levels. Our program is unique in its focus on rigorously integrating mindfulness teaching and practices into leadership development and team communication. In the rapidly changing markets of today, it is essential that teams develop skills of awareness to better tap the creative edge needed to succeed. Teams practicing mindfulness will release their limiting beliefs, resistant behavior patterns, and interpersonal difficulties. Such programs can help them to develop new skill sets including the capacity to think more strategically, creatively and motivate others.

  • Our work is tailored to your team needs and goals. Below are some examples of what that could look like.

  • Multiple-day off/on-site or Full day or 1/2 day seminars offered at an organization's location or location of choice. We deliver conceptual and experiential introduction to mindfulness and its relevance and applications in todays fast paced corporate environment.

  • Mindful Awareness at Work Course. Comprehensive program offered on location. 2 hour classes for 7 consecutive weeks plus one full day. Effective when open to all levels of an organization on a voluntary basis as well as with an in tact team.

About Kate Spear

She is a corporate mindfulness and leadership coach who teaches applied meditation techniques to executive leaders and teams to increase their creative leadership capacity and to support stress reduction. She also helps companies set up ongoing wellness programs to include meditation instruction and space on site. 

Kate was a department head on the executive team for the Telluride Ski Resort and operated SpearVision, a leadership consulting firm. She is also adjunct faculty at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, a senior executive coach with Full Circle Group and the founder of Radiant Tribe, a community developing leaders and changing lives through joy and connection. Her current work includes organizational culture building, executive team coaching with an emphasis on Diversity in Leadership, leading retreats internationally, conscious business consulting, and coaching individuals in personal transformation. 

Most recently, Kate has worked with leadership teams at CA Technologies, Broadcom, State of Indiana, Verizon Media, Hewlett Packard, Emerging Women, and Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, helping them explore their leadership and transformation journey.

Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gender Studies from Penn State University. She is a certified meditation and yoga teacher, a certified facilitator of Access Consciousness, a certified Leadership Circle Profile practitioner, and is trained in somatic journey work. 

Kate spent eight years in an Ashram community studying with master teachers and practicing meditation daily. She is on a lifetime journey of exploring consciousness, leadership development and the empowerment of women. Hiking into the high country is also a passion for her. When she’s not working on her memoir of her life in an ashram, she is spending time with her three daughters.
